Leah Ward

Leah Ward was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio to Luther and Lori Ward. After graduating from Colonel White High School she attended Ohio University where she earned her B.S. in Education in 2011 and her M.Ed. in College Student Personnel in 2013. Upon earning her Master’s degree she relocated to Blacksburg, Virginia where she served at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) as the Residential Learning Coordinator for two years and as the Student Life Coordinator position for the Steger Center for International Scholarship in Riva San Vitale, Switzerland for three semesters. Shortly after her tenure at Virginia Tech she transitioned to K-12 education serving as the aide to the Intervention Specialist at the Dayton Early College Academy (DECA). Leah currently lives in Dayton, Ohio where she serves as a Community Coordinator at the University of Dayton and is enrolled in the Educational Leadership Ph.D. Program. She is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Beta Eta Omega chapter and a member of Wayman Chapel AME Church.
